Kiyomaru-Kun

Natural inorganic flocculant "Kiyomaru-kun”

"Kiyomaru-kun" is made from natural volcanic ash ”Shirasu”, so it has less impact on the environment than ordinary flocculants. It is safe and reliable to use at civil engineering sites that has to be environmentally friendly, and sites near rivers and the sea.

Kiyomaru-Kun Series

NETIS (New Technology Information System) Registered: KT-190016-A

"Kiyomaru-kun" is made from natural volcanic ash ”Shirasu”, so it has less impact on the environment than ordinary flocculants. It is safe and reliable to use at civil engineering sites that want to be environmentally friendly, and sites near rivers and the sea.

Features

  • POINT 1

    Overwhelming flocculation

    Extremely quick flocculation.
It can also flocculate fine suspended solids that other flocculants cannot handle.

  • POINT 2

    Easy-to-use

Basically, it can be used for weakly acidic to alkaline wastewater without pH adjustment.
Since it is easy to adjust the amount of additive, "Kiyomaru-kun" can be used without any specialized knowledge or skills.

  • POINT 3

    Simple post-process

The flocs formed are large and have low viscosity, so it is easy to dehydrate.

  • POINT 4

    High safety

Kiyomaru-kun is made from volcanic ash "Shirasu", so it is safer than polymer flocculants that contain organic matter.

Flocculation mechanism of Kiyomaru-kun

By adding and agitating Kiyomaru-kun with a solution containing colloidal particles, the negative charge of the colloidal particles and the positive charge of Kiyomaru-kun ionically combine, causing the colloidal particles to coagulate.
Compared to general flocculants, Kiyomaru-kun is charged with more positive charges, so it can bond with multiple negative charges in colloidal particles, which increases the flocculating power the flocks difficult to break.
Since the number of condensed colloidal particles increases, large flocs are formed.
Furthermore, since there are still many positive charges that do not contribute to ionic bonding, the negative charges on the colloidal particles are attracted to Kiyomaru-kun, causing a bias in electrification, and the opposite side is charged with positive charges, forming an electric dipole.
Then, without going through Kiyomaru-kun, the colloidal particle that has become an electric dipole and another colloidal particle bond between the ion dipoles, making the flock becomes even larger.
